Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA): refers to the scientific approach to behaviour. ABA is the application of the principles derived from the experimental analysis of behaviour. ABA encompasses the procedures and technology derived from the study of behaviour and is applied to increase socially acceptable behaviour and decrease interfering or challenging behaviours in children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. Treatments derived from Behaviour Analysis are supported by many decades of research.
